INTRODUCTORY
WORD

SE NNEGC Energoatom is a leader in the Ukrainian energy market. Our professional and highly skilled staff is key to our leadership position. Currently, the Company has more than 34,000 employees. Therefore, one of our main objectives is to provide stable, comfortable, and competitive working conditions for all our employees, as the country’s energy security relies on their day-to-day work. Together we generate energy for the sustainable future.

Human capital is a key asset for any business, but skilled professionals are especially valuable in the nuclear power industry. Even the smallest mistake can have serious consequences for the energy system, the national economy, and the environment. That is why Energoatom takes care of personal, professional and career growth of its employees. We strive to do our utmost to help those willing to improve, develop professionally and not rest on their laurels. Experience and qualifications are very important to us.

In 2018, Energoatom’s staff training costs increased to UAH 108.5 million, three times more than in 2017. The opening of Training Centre Building G at Zaporizhzhya NPP in 2018 created new staff upskilling opportunities.

The Company considers it important to keep a work-and-life balance. Every year thousands of our employees and their families improve their health and rehabilitate at Energoatom’s recreation facilities. In 2018, the Company spent UAH 156.8 million on healthcare and recreational services for its employees and UAH 40.4 million on services for their children.

NON-FINANCIAL REPORT 2018

We pay considerable attention to the support to local communities, since the operation of nuclear power plants largely depends on the welfare of satellite towns.

The Company consistently invests in the social development, spending UAH 456.9 million in 2018, up by 23.7% year on year. The funds allocated in support of local infrastructure improve the living conditions for Energoatom’s employees, their family members, and residents of the areas where NPPs operate.
